Duncan brings perspective from leading roles in the some the UK’s biggest financial companies and careers as a banker and lawyer. Before joining Exotix as CEO in 2016, Duncan served as Deputy General Counsel at Standard Chartered Plc, and Group General Counsel for ICAP Plc. Among his senior positions at ICAP during more than a decade, Duncan was part of the original management team of technology innovator BrokerTec, now the biggest electronic platform for US Treasury bond trading, owned by Nex Group Plc. Duncan has also served as in-house counsel at ING Barings Ltd. in the global equities team and as a derivatives and OTC markets specialist at Clifford Chance. He has an MA in social and political sciences from Cambridge University and is involved with several charities including Together for Short Lives and Cure EB.
Steve has over 10 years of financial services industry experience, having previously been the Group Financial Controller of The Kyte Group Ltd, at the time a GFI Group company. He joined Exotix in 2015, having helped steer The Kyte Group through a number of transactions as result of the BGC merger with GFI. Steve qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) at accountancy firm, Whittingham Riddell.
Before joining Exotix, Christina was the Chief Operating Officer of Bloomberg Tradebook and Trading Solutions, with responsibility for operational planning and management across teams with about 800 combined employees. She brings considerable experience from previous operations and commercial management roles at Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan Chase and Sberbank.
Matthew has over 20 years of equity market experience, including 15 in Emerging Markets, and with particular focus on Africa. Most recently before joining Exotix, he was ICBC Standard Bank’s Managing Director and Head of Equity Product, and previously the Head of African Equity Product at Standard Bank. Prior to that, Matthew was one of the founding members of the Renaissance Capital’s Africa team, responsible for creating and building out the African franchise, serving as Managing Director and Head of Equity Product Group and Research for Africa. Matthew started his banking career as a research analyst covering multiple African countries, before heading research on Israel and UK mid-cap TMT for Investec Securities.
Paul joined Exotix from 4CAST-RGE, a leading provider of thematic and intraday economic analysis, where he served as CEO. Paul co-founded Country Insights Ltd., which was acquired by Roubini Global Economics in 2012. He then led the merger of the subscription business of Roubini Global Economics with 4CAST Ltd to form 4CAST-RGE. Paul also has a strong background in public policy, as a former special adviser to the Energy and Climate Change Select Committee of the UK parliament the first energy security adviser to the U.S. European Command of the U.S. Department of Defense, where he worked extensively with frontier oil producers and as deputy political analyst in the scenario planning group at Royal Dutch/Shell. He was a Marshall Scholar at Oxford University and is also an alumnus of London Business School and the University of Texas at Austin.
The former Managing Director at Liquidity Finance in London, Dean brings experience from leadership positions across the EM universe at firms including ING Bank, VTB Capital and F&C Asset Management. In his recent roles, Dean was responsible for Global Emerging Markets Sales, managing distribution platforms centered in London, New York, Dubai, Moscow, Singapore and Hong Kong. Dean was previously Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) Sales at China’s Haitong Securities and, before that, Managing Director and Head of International FICC Sales at Sberbank CIB, the investment banking arm of Russia’s largest bank.
Andrew was previously Head of Energy Origination for EMEA at Bank of Nova Scotia, and Global Head of Oil & Gas at Lloyds/ Bank of Scotland with responsibility for energy in London, Edinburgh, Sydney and Houston. Andrew began in banking at Citi in Asia and the UK, and Bank of America where he co-headed the European General Industrial Group. He’s UK founder of bfinance.com and ex-Chair of the OECD MENA Renewable Energy Taskforce. He has a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Melbourne and MBA from the Wharton School
With over 25 years experience at leading financial institutions, Fabrizio was responsible at Morgan Stanley for the relationship with leading financial services companies in Europe and emerging markets. He has an extensive track-record in M&A and capital markets transactions, having originated and executed over 60 deals across M&A, equity and debt for financial institutions in Europe and emerging markets. Having operated in emerging markets since 2004, Fabrizio pioneered deals for Morgan Stanley in new regions including Sub-Saharan Africa and Turkey. At Exotix, he spearheaded the investment banking operations. Fabrizio is a Visiting Professor at the Master of Science program in International Accounting at the University of Turin (Italy).
Chiamaka spent seven years at Morgan Stanley in London with primary focus on equity capital markets for Sub-Saharan Africa, the UK and Northern Europe, and four years in Lagos at FBN Capital, the investment-banking subsidiary of FBNH, Nigeria’s largest banking institution by total assets, most recently as Head of Equity Sales. She has originated and executed a variety of financing transactions across jurisdictions for international and Nigerian corporations. She has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics and Management from the University of Bristol and a postgraduate Diploma in Financial Strategy from Said Business School, University of Oxford.
Rob has over 15 years Operations experience with a focus on the Fixed Income and Equities markets from a back and middle office perspective, with experience of managing Operation teams and local offices. Core focal areas include Fixed Income and Equity Settlements, Euroclear, Clearstream, New Issues, Pricing Supplements, Swift Environment, Cash Management, Repo, MIS Reporting, Continuous Improvement, Process realignment, Facility Management, Human Resources, IT Infrastructure Management, Financial control, Compliance and Risk.
Before joining Exotix, Ian was responsible for the delivery of macroeconomic and financial market research and data products at Continuum Economics, formerly Roubini Global Economics, where he managed a multidisciplinary team comprised of designers, developers and marketers. He employs numerous technical skills to answer questions ranging from website user behaviour to asset risk and performance, and brings a strong understanding of clients from his previous experience as an analyst and consultant. Ian graduated from the London School of Economics with an MSc in International Political Economy.
